BHB Motors was established as, and continues to be, a family run business to serve the community.

LOCALS helping locals; the Stirling family are driven by the ‘sense of community’ and ‘aussie spirit’ that make small business valuable rural assets.

James kicked off his career as a mechanic over 20years ago, working in both small businesses and large dealerships. He has experience with all major vehicle brands.

In the past few years James has extended his skills in air-conditioning and diesel diagnostics and repairs.

He is a proud to support the community including a commitment to employ locals.

James is well respected amongst the local secondary schools, allowing students looking into the mechanical industry the opportunity to come and do placement or school based apprenticeships through BHB.

James and wife Anita have proudly owned and operated BHB since 2010 .

The building BHB operates out of has been operating as a mechanical workshop since around 1920.  It was rebuilt in the 1930’s after the original building from 1889 burnt down. It has been known under a number of names including BHB Motors, Binger and Bentley Garage (hence the B and B in our name!) and Central Garage. Prior to being a mechanical garage the building was a post office and general store. Thank you to the amazing Lynne Franklin who runs the historical society in Nathalia, for collating this information.
